Something to keep you sane

Something I like to like to ask myself when I am feeling inadequate or as though my copious efforts have not reached the standard I have set for myself is:
Have I done my best?
And I don’t mean the best work of my whole entire life; and I don’t mean have i neared killed myself to get something done to perfection.
I am asking myself, have I done the best I could at that time in my life, taking into consideration everything else that had my attention.
If no, I know I need to do better to give my best go next time.
But if yes, I am proud.
Because win or lose, succeed or fail I know I did my best.

And all I can do, is the best I can do.
